HIV/AIDS virus has come to stay and cannot be eradicated. In spite of the efforts of educational and other community related strategies adopted for HIV/AIDS prevention in Africa, population of HIV/AIDS victims have continued to grow. Thinking through socio-economic factors which influences risky behaviours promote the spread of HIV/AIDS, a prevention strategic model is advanced to carter for victims and reduces risky behaviour, through a proposed community approach called “containment”.
